Report: Nancy Mace is accused of fabricating sexual assault claims

Congresswoman Nancy Mace, R-SC, is being accused of a shocking crime by her ex-fiance Patrick Bryant. Bryant claims that the Republican legislator waged an “unforgiving” campaign against him after they split up.

In a 19 page complaint, filed in Charleston County on Thursday, Bryant accused Mace hacking into his phone and tracking his vehicle, as well as fabricating allegations of sexual assault, all part of a complex scheme designed to blackmail Bryant out of his two homes, valued at approximately $6 million.

Bryant, 51, an entrepreneur claims that Mace, who was “paranoid”, thought he was cheating after they split in November 2023 and installed AirTags on his vehicle to track his movement. Further, he claims that she had installed Mr. Fone, a secret application on his phone in order to “extract” and “download” his personal data and photos without his consent.

The lawsuit states that Mace admitted in the past to having searched Bryant’s computer, violating his privacy. She also placed an AirTag tracking device on her car while she traveled internationally.

Bryant claims that Mace threatened him with the hacking information, saying that she “would use the information that she found on her phone to obtain her homes.” She allegedly instructed her consultant to say that she was going to release the photos she had discovered when she hacked into his phone unless Bryant signed the property over.

Mace is also accused of conspiring to deceive a young “vulnerable woman” (identified as Jane Doe) into believing that she was gang-raped at a party in 2018 by Bryant, two others, and Melissa Britton.

The filing claims that Mace made up a false story about an attack to blackmail Bryant and gain leverage during their divorce proceedings. She also tried to ruin Bryant to her own personal benefit. Bryant claims that the alleged assault never happened and that he’s “an innocent, respected businessman” who was falsely labeled as a rapist or voyeur. He seeks unspecified damages, including for invasion of privacy and defamation.

Mace responded to the suit by telling the Daily Mail that “it’s almost like Patrick Bryant wants to give me another check”, referring to a case in which a lawyer associated with Bryant had been fined over improper legal documents. She added, “I got him sanctioned by the court. It sounds like it may be necessary to sanction him again.” After weaponizing the courts and using lawfare to us, Jane Doe is still waiting for his payment.

Mace, 47 years old, is expected to run for governor in 2026. She has been involved in several lawsuits that stem from her fiery House speech of February, in which she accused four men, including Bryant, of being sexual predators. Mace said that she, along with other women, were drugged, abused, and recorded without their consent during her February House speech.

Bryant countersued, arguing that Mace’s remarks in Congress are protected under the Constitution’s “speech or debate” clause, but her actions out of Congress have been “extremely and outrageous”. His lawyers wrote: “When a United States Congresswoman weaponizes lies to extort property privately, fabricates crimes to destroy a citizens reputation, abuses private relationships to force private citizens to do something, this conduct shocks every voter who trusted her with their votes.”

Bryant was the only man mentioned by Mace in her February comments who had been the subject of a criminal investigation. However, no charges were filed. Mace and Bryant were married in May 2022, but they called it off after 18 months. She told the media that she found her profile on Tinder.

Bryant, speaking to the Daily Mail, said: “I’ve been forced to remain silent for almost two years while false allegations were made about me.” The Daily Mail reported that “claims were made, repeated and weaponized in order to further personal and political vendettas.” “I have never raped or assaulted any woman.”

Mace continued: “She continues to portray herself as the victim when she is one of those who brought these allegations forward and was instrumental in their advancement. Now she tries to conceal behind her privileges as a government official, yet this is nothing related to governing. This is a personal attack. “This countersuit is to protect innocent people against being destroyed by false allegations.”

Bowman, as well as another man accused of the same crime, John Osborne have both denied involvement.
