President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign has achieved a remarkable feat by collecting $53 million in February, marking the highest fundraising amount since its launch in April 2023.
By the conclusion of the shortest month of the year, the Biden-Harris team announced a total fundraising of over $331 million, with an impressive $155 million in cash reserves.
As per an ABC News report, this latter figure stands as the “highest total ever accumulated by any Democratic candidate at this stage of the election cycle.”
It is important to note that the aforementioned sum includes contributions not only from the campaign itself but also from other Democratic establishments such as the DNC and joint filing committees.
“We’re proud of the record-breaking fundraising machine we’ve built that is going toward reaching the voters about the stakes of this election — to expanding our footprint in the states, investing in paid media, and having our principals barnstorm the country,” said campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez in a statement.
“And we’re just getting started,” she continued.
“The stakes of this election couldn’t be higher for the future of this country, and our historic fundraising operation is making sure every voter knows these stakes come November.”
The substantial figures do not even encompass the substantial amount of money that the Biden campaign received on the day after the State of the Union address, which also established a new record.
Within a 24-hour period following Biden’s contentious speech, the campaign achieved a remarkable milestone by raising $10 million in a single day.
The forthcoming November election is anticipated to be a repeat of the previous contest between Biden and former President Donald Trump, as both individuals successfully secured their respective primary nominations last week.
