Pro-ICE Super Bowl Commercial Goes Viral

A pro-ICE Super Bowl commercial set social media on fire Sunday night after viewers reported seeing it air shortly after the halftime show, triggering praise from conservatives and renewed outrage from the left.

The ad, which several viewers say aired following Bad Bunny’s halftime performance, was attributed to American Sovereignty, a group that has been running high-profile pro-ICE messaging in the lead-up to the game. The spot appears to have aired only in select markets, adding to its viral mystique as clips and screenshots spread online.

American Sovereignty is the same group behind a series of pro-ICE billboards that appeared in and around San Francisco in the weeks before the Super Bowl. The campaign has drawn strong reactions on both sides as immigration enforcement remains one of the nation’s most polarizing issues.

According to its website, American Sovereignty lists border security, protecting taxpayers, and public safety among its priorities. The group does not disclose its leadership or funding sources and has not responded to media inquiries as of Monday morning.

The ad itself portrays ICE agents as ordinary Americans serving their communities.

“They’re friends and neighbors, sons, fathers, Little League coaches and veterans. They’re people who love this country,” the voice in the ad says.

The group shared the video on X on Jan. 31 as part of what it described as a broader Super Bowl-themed push that included billboards and mobile ads. In the days surrounding the game, American Sovereignty posted images of additional pro-ICE advertising at undisclosed locations.

“They can’t win without defense. Neither can America” was one post that included a truck wrapped in pro-ICE messaging.

Multiple social media users said they saw the ad air after the halftime show, though confirmation remains limited. The Houston Chronicle reported it could not independently verify whether the commercial aired or which markets carried it.

The spot nonetheless drew immediate praise from prominent conservatives, including Sean Hannity, who highlighted the ad’s timing following the halftime performance by Bad Bunny. The artist’s appearance had already sparked backlash from pro-ICE and pro-Trump activists.

As clips of the ad continued to circulate Monday, supporters hailed it as a rare, unapologetic defense of immigration enforcement on the country’s biggest television stage, while critics scrambled to downplay its reach.
