President Trump is using all available resources he can to secure our country’s borders and deport the millions of illegals already in this country.
One of the tools he’s using is one that has never been used before, according to Stephen Miller, which is to deputize both state and local law enforcement so they can conduct immigration arrests of illegals for mass deportation.
Miller says this is lawful, statutory authority already granted by Congress.
Here’s the news:

Governor Ron DeSantis responded to the news saying: “Deputizing state and local LE will make efforts to repel illegal border crossers much more effective and will help maritime states like Florida repel illegals who try to come by boat. It will also greatly enhance interior enforcement in all parts of the US.”
When someone challenged him suggesting this could give Trump power over local law enforcement, DeSantis said that it won’t:
The answer is none because it is all voluntary — the feds can’t commandeer state and local officials to enforce federal laws. Florida will obviously accept the deputization and we are seeking — in the upcoming special session — to have state law impose duties on the locals to help facilitate the mission, which will lead to locals being deputized as well. But we are choosing to do this; we are not being forced by the Feds.
