Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth rejected a biased question today by a reporter about his new Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine.
The reporter asked “Why did you select an underqualified retired lieutenant general to be the next Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff?”
But Hegseth did not like the question and refused to answer it, interrupting the reporter and calling the question ‘unqualified’, then calling on someone else.

As I told you over the weekend, the media’s new talking point about this new CJCS is that he’s not qualified. And I love how Hegesth rejected the false narrative by rejecting the question completely.
