The Minnesota Vikings are facing fierce criticism after prominently featuring two male cheerleaders on their social media and official team website.
Louie and Blaize Take Center Stage
Louie and Blaize are part of the 2025 and 2026 Vikings cheerleading squad, appearing repeatedly on the team’s Instagram accounts, including in the official lineup photos.
Unlike past NFL cheer squads that used men mostly for stunts and lifts, the Vikings are promoting Louie and Blaize as central performers.
In one Instagram video, the team proclaimed, “The next generation of cheer has arrived!” with Louie standing front and center. Blaize also shared a clip of himself and Louie strutting side by side.
Louie is featured front and center in that video.
Blaize posted a separate video of himself and Louie strutting together on his own Instagram account.
Fans Lash Out Over the Move
Reaction from fans was overwhelmingly negative.

Some fans vowed to abandon the team altogether: “F the Vikings… I’m done.”
Broader Pushback Against ‘Wokeness’
The backlash mirrors frustration against brands accused of ignoring consumers and pushing leftist ideology.
While companies like American Eagle have been rewarded for featuring actress Sydney Sweeney, others like Disney’s “Snow White” remake and Bud Light’s Dylan Mulvaney campaign became high-profile cautionary tales.
Critics argue the Vikings are alienating their base. “Leave football alone, let fans just enjoy football and leave them alone with social issues and politics!” one X user wrote.
NFL’s Experiment With Male Cheerleaders
In 2019, the NFL celebrated its first male cheerleaders performing at a Super Bowl.
But judging by the reaction online, many fans believe the Vikings should have left the experiment there.
It’s so stupid how the woke refuse to wake up.
They could have quietly made a diverse squad with several men and over 50% more females, the competitive college squads have been up to 40% male for decades.
BUT INSTEAD
they chose just two SPECIFICLY “OBVIOUS” males. And tried to bully everybody into accepting “beta boys” even forcing the swishes to “perform Dylan Mulvaney style”
I BET i could have coached a team that would have worked, but as usual stupid woke bombs their own attempt.
I’d use at least a dozen males, about two dozen females and while it’s illegal to hire by orientation, it’s likely over half the guys and a few of the females would be alphabets … and it would pass muster as long as they don’t bellow their orientation in public.
