The New York Times — despite going to great lengths to burry the lede — conceded in a new report that there has never been any evidence linking President Donald Trump to notorious sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes.
The article, written by Times reporters Nicholas Confessore and Julie Tate, was compiled through interviews with “more than 30 former employees of Jeffrey Epstein, victims of his abuse and others who crossed paths with Mr. Epstein and President Trump.” The Times also cited “new documents” to provide additional details on Trump’s “relationship” with Epstein.
Much of the article takes old quotes and photos dating back to the 1990s in order to paint the picture of a close relationship between Trump and Epstein. It does, however, quietly note that Epstein “had a talent for acquiring powerful friends” before outright admitting that there is no evidence linking Trump to any of Epstein’s crimes.
“An examination of their history by The New York Times has found no evidence implicating Mr. Trump in Mr. Epstein’s abuse and trafficking of minors,” the article reads.

For months, Democrats have attempted to link President Trump with Epstein’s crimes despite years-worth of evidence and testimony pointing to the exact opposite. This reached a fever pitch on Thursday, when party leaders used a series of mostly old, and some new emails to claim Trump was close friends with Epstein.
Party leaders have even pushed emails and documents in which Epstein expresses his disdain for Trump, seemingly believing this constitutes evidence of guilt.
The party’s official X page last month highlighted a February 8, 2017 email sent by Epstein to former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, who served in the Clinton Administration, in which he railed against Trump. “recall I’ve told you… I have met some very bad people… none as bad as Trump. not one decent cell in his body… so yes– dangerous,” Epstein wrote.
Democrats seized on the words of a notorious sex trafficker in an effort to attack Trump. “Newly released emails show Jeffrey Epstein thought Trump was one of the worst people he knew, with ‘not one decent cell in his body,’” the party gloated through its official X page. “He went on to describe Trump with one word: ‘Dangerous.’”
Democrats also redacted the name of a prominent Epstein accuser in order to claim that President Trump was involved in the notorious pedophile’s crimes. The victim in question was the late Virginia Giuffre, who testified under oath that Trump had no involvement in Epstein’s crimes.
Giuffre was a noted supporter of President Trump’s campaign in 2024 and praised his efforts to bring Epstein to justice.
In addition, Epstein actively “coached” U.S. Delegate Stacey Plaskett of the Virgin Islands during a congressional hearing in 2019, which centered on Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case against Trump. Epstein instructed Plaskett on how to best attack the president immediately before her questioning.
Epstein was banned from Trump’s Mar-A-Lago club due to inappropriate conduct with a minor staffer in the early 2000’s. Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime mistress and co-conspirator, has also stated that the president was in now way involved in Epstein’s crimes.
