A large mob of left-wing rioters set up roadblocks outside of a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in New York City and proceeded to trap agents inside the building, footage from the disturbances shows.
According to a report from the New York Post, police responded to a chaotic scene near the U.S. General Service Administration building on Centre Street after receiving a 911 call about protestors blocking access to a nearby garage that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents reportedly entered, the New York Police Department (NYPD) told the outlet.
Multiple rioters were arrested for obstructing government administration and disorderly conduct after ignoring police orders to clear the area.
Some of the protesters raised sizable barriers constructed of trash and an assortment of large objects in the streets, preventing agents from leaving the garage, Others were seen scaling the garage’s windows while chanting “ICE out of New York! ICE out now!”
“There were people climbing up trying to see who ICE had inside,” one protestor told The Post. “They were arresting people for no reason.” Some protesters lifted potted plants and other large objects before pelting them at police lines.
Additional rioters clashed with NYPD officers as they attempted to erect metal barricades outside the facility. Others stood in the middle of Centre Street in an attempt to block traffic.
New York today.
Domestic terrorists trapped ICE agents in a parking garage for an hour, then threw up a trash blockade to keep them from leaving.
Trump said back in July that ICE did not have to tolerate this anymore.

Some members of the mob blamed the NYPD for “escalating” the incident by refusing to allow them to impede federal officers. “It’s not right what they’re doing,” said Peter Suh of New Jersey, who was visiting NYC with his family. “People should be left alone to protest.”
An Australian tourist described both sides as “pretty aggressive.”
“A lot of people were shoved to the ground,” she said.
The incident comes as President Donald Trump has vowed to surge the Big Apple with federal immigration officers in response to the election of self-styled socialist Zohran Mamdani as the city’s mayor. Despite a cordial White House meeting between the two men, Mamdani has vowed to “resist” deportation efforts and to turn the nation’s largest city into a sanctuary of “international law.”
The Trump Administration has responded by vowing to increase deportation operations in the region.
