Megyn Kelly released a decades-old photograph she says depicts former President Bill Clinton at a Washington social event in the late 1990s.
Image and Allegations
She presented the image on her program and said it was taken in 1999 at the Bombay Club while Clinton was still in office.
The picture shows Clinton standing close to two young women as they posed for a photograph.
Kelly said one of the women was a friend of hers and that the image appears to show Clinton looking down toward the woman’s chest.
She stressed on air that she was not accusing Clinton of a crime but argued the photo fits a pattern critics have long noted.
Kelly also told viewers they could draw their own conclusions from what the image shows.
Timing and Investigation
The timing of the release drew immediate attention because Clinton was due to testify behind closed doors to the House Oversight Committee in its probe of Jeffrey Epstein.
Republican committee members have pursued questions about Clinton’s ties to Epstein, including multiple flights on Epstein’s private jet.
Clinton has acknowledged flying on the aircraft for what he called philanthropic work and has denied knowledge of Epstein’s crimes and visiting Epstein’s private island.
Kelly framed the resurfaced photograph as relevant context before the testimony and said it added to longstanding public questions about Clinton’s conduct.
The image circulated rapidly on social media and prompted sharply divided reactions along partisan lines.
As the Oversight Committee proceeds, Clinton’s closed-door testimony is expected to address the nature and extent of his relationship with Epstein.
