Mark Zuckerberg Won’t Endorse Either Candidate, Says Donald Trump Looked ‘Badass’ with Fist Raised After Surviving Assassination Attempt After Previously Allowing him to be Banned on Facebook as Sitting President

In a stunning display of political opportunism, Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta (formerly known as Facebook), has recently lauded former President Donald Trump’s resilience following a failed assassination attempt. Zuckerberg, who has remained silent on endorsing any presidential candidate this election cycle, praised Trump for raising his fist in the air after surviving the attempt on his life. The irony and hypocrisy of Zuckerberg’s statement are not lost on many, given his company’s previous decision to ban Trump from Facebook following the events of January 6th, 2021.

“Mark Zuckerberg said that Donald Trump’s immediate reaction after being shot was “badass” and inspiring — without endorsing the former president. The Meta CEO spoke exclusively to @emilychangtv on The Circuit”

On July 13th, 2024, at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, a gunman opened fire on Trump, grazing the former president’s right ear and killing one attendee. Despite the severity of the attack, Trump quickly stood up, raised his fist in the air, and almost continued his speech, displaying the resilience and determination that have become hallmarks of his political career.

Zuckerberg, in a recent interview, described Trump’s actions as “one of the most badass things I’ve ever seen in my life.” While this statement may seem like an endorsement of Trump’s character, it is important to remember that Zuckerberg has not officially endorsed either presidential candidate. This leaves many wondering about the true intentions behind his words.

The apparent hypocrisy of Zuckerberg’s statement is glaring, considering his company’s past actions against Trump. Following the events of January 6th, 2021, when a mob of Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol, Facebook (now Meta) made the controversial decision to ban Trump from the platform indefinitely. The company cited Trump’s alleged role in inciting violence and spreading misinformation as justification for the ban.

Now, Zuckerberg seems to be singing a different tune, praising Trump’s resilience in the face of adversity. This sudden change of heart raises questions about Zuckerberg’s true motives and his commitment to upholding the principles of free speech and political neutrality.

It is worth noting that Zuckerberg’s praise of Trump comes at a time when the tech industry is facing increased scrutiny for its role in shaping public discourse and influencing political outcomes. Many conservatives have accused social media platforms, including Facebook, of silencing right-wing voices and suppressing conservative viewpoints.

Donald Trump has since been unbanned by Meta, but censorship and sketchy policies remain, along with the “Supreme Court” that makes decisions outside of Zuckerberg’s purview.

Regardless of one’s political affiliations, it is clear that Zuckerberg’s praise of Trump is a hypocritical and opportunistic move. As the 2024 presidential election approaches, it is crucial that tech leaders like Zuckerberg remain politically neutral and uphold the principles of free speech and open discourse. Only then can we ensure that the voices of all Americans are heard and respected, regardless of their political beliefs.
