Donald Trump made a late endorsement of the New York City mayoral race. He urged voters not to elect the front-runner in that race, Zohran Mahdani, who is a communist.
It is unlikely I would contribute more than the minimum amount required to the City of New York if Zohran Mamdani, the Communist candidate, wins. As a Communist this great city has ZERO chances of survival or success. The city will only become worse with a Communist in charge, so I do not want to waste money on a bad candidate.
Trump predicted that if Mamdani wins, the Big Apple would become “a complete and total economic and social disaster.” His principles have not been proven successful in over 1,000 years. “I would rather see a Democrat with a record of success win than a Communist who lacks experience and has a complete and total failure track record,” said the President.
Trump turned to Curtis Sliwa. He is a Republican and the founder of Guardian Angels, an organization that monitors local issues. We must not forget this: A vote for Curtis Sliwa, who looks better sans beret! “A vote for Mamdani” continued the message.
In order to achieve this, Trump has announced that, as a rival of many years, he is endorsing Andrew Cuomo. You have to vote for Andrew Cuomo, whether you like him or not. Vote for him and pray he performs a great job. “He is capable, Mamdani not!”
Cuomo, who lost to Mamdani in the Democratic Party primaries earlier this year, is now running a campaign as an independent against Mamdani. Polling averages predict a Mamdani win, but a few last-minute polls from highly respected pollsters paint a picture of an even closer race.
In one such poll by AtlasIntel, a Brazilian polling firm that has the honor of being the most accurate in the polling of presidential elections for 2020 and 2024, Mamdani received 43.9 percent with Cuomo close behind on 39.4 percent. Sliwa is a distant second with only 15.5 percent. An additional one percent remains undecided.
A little over 2,400 people were surveyed between Friday and Sunday. The margin of error is two points.
Cuomo isn’t the only one who has thrown his support behind him. Several prominent figures from both the right and left have given their backing. Elon Musk, the tech billionaire who is also a Trump supporter, endorsed Cuomo late on Monday. He told his 228,000,000 X fans in New York City that they should vote.
Musk said: “Remember that voting for Curtis really means you are supporting Mumdumi, or whatever name he goes by.” “VOTE CUOMO!”
