Israel launched airstrikes on Wednesday targeting Syria’s Ministry of Defense headquarters in Damascus, as part of a broader campaign against the Syrian regime.
According to the Jerusalem Post, the IDF carried out 160 aerial attacks on regime forces near Sweida in southern Syria.
Video footage from the scene shows Israeli missiles slamming into buildings near the Defense Ministry and even within striking distance of the presidential palace.

The strikes come just days after President Trump bombed Iran’s nuclear sites and brokered a ceasefire between Israel and Iran.
Now, the Israeli military is turning its focus to the Assad regime, which has been battling with Druze militias in southern Syria.
“The IDF is striking in the area and remains prepared for various scenarios,” the military said on social media.
An Israeli military official said the Assad regime claims it’s restoring order—but the facts on the ground prove otherwise. The official warned that regime interference is making things worse for civilians, not better.
Netanyahu Warns Druze in Israel: Stay Home
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stern message to Israel’s Druze community, many of whom have relatives in Syria.
“We are working to save our Druze brothers and eliminate the regime’s gangs,” Netanyahu said.
But he cautioned:
“You are citizens of Israel,” Netanyahu said. “Let the IDF act.”
Syrian Regime Escalates
The Assad regime responded to recent clashes in Sweida by accusing Druze militias of violating a ceasefire. Syrian military forces then launched attacks—prompting Israel’s military to strike back hard.
This is the latest escalation in a region that’s on edge, even as Trump’s peace deal with Iran holds.
