Kid Rock has found himself in a spotlight as the Army initiates an investigation regarding military helicopters observed near his home in Nashville. The footage shared by the 55-year-old singer showed helicopters hovering close to his property in Whites Creek, Tennessee.
In the video, Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, celebrated the moment by pumping his fist. When addressing the situation, he expressed confidence in the military’s operations. “I think they’re gonna be alright,” he remarked in an interview.
Rock pointed out that helicopter pilots often train in the area and that he appreciates their presence. He described the incident, noting, “It was pretty cool they stopped right there.”
The video notably features an Apache attack helicopter alongside a life-sized Statue of Liberty in his yard. In his caption, Rock also took aim at California’s Governor Gavin Newsom.
“This is a level of respect that s— for brains Governor of California will never know,” he quipped. He further added, “God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her.”
Fort Campbell has acknowledged the ongoing investigation into the video’s circumstances. Maj. Jonathon Bless, a spokesperson for the 101st Airborne Division, confirmed this process.

“Fort Campbell leadership is aware of a video circulating on social media depicting AH-64 Apache helicopters operating in the vicinity of a private residence associated with Mr. Robert Ritchie (also known as ‘Kid Rock’). The command has initiated an investigation to review the circumstances surrounding this activity,” Bless stated.
The division maintains that these flights adhere to strict safety and operational standards. He clarified that the helicopters were conducting training exercises, refuting claims of any political connections to the No Kings protest occurring in Nashville at the same time.
Rock’s political affiliations are well-documented; he has consistently supported President Donald Trump through multiple campaigns, famously performing an altered version of “American Bad A–” at the 2024 Republican National Convention to demonstrate his backing.
