Illegal Migrant Murdered 15-Year-Old Who Was Trying to Stop Him from Raping His Mother: ICE

An illegal immigrant accused of murdering a 15-year-old boy who tried to protect his mother from a rape attempt is facing deportation back to Mexico, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed Tuesday.

Gildardo Amandor-Martinez, 36, is charged with murder, rape, and first-degree assault after a horrific July 20 incident in which he allegedly tried to rape his girlfriend, only to be confronted by her teenage son, Luis Jocsan Nanez Lopez.

The Crime: A Teen Killed Defending His Mother

Amandor-Martinez returned from a bar around 2:30 a.m. and tried to force himself on his girlfriend.

When she screamed, her 15-year-old son Luis intervened and asked if he should call the police.

Amandor-Martinez told him to leave the room, then as he was preparing to leave, fired three shots through a door — one striking Luis in the face, killing him.

The mother escaped with her other three children, including a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old, while more shots were fired behind her.

ICE Responds: “He Should Have Never Been Here”

“Luis Lopez died trying to save his mother from this criminal illegal alien,” said Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.
“Gildardo Amandor-Martinez is a rapist and cold-blooded killer who should have never been in this country.”

McLaughlin blamed the Biden administration’s open-border policies for the tragedy.

“This monster was allowed to walk American streets and commit these evil crimes… against a mother and her children,” she said.

ICE has placed an immigration detainer to ensure that Amandor-Martinez will not be released and will be deported upon completion of criminal proceedings.

The Legal Case

Amandor-Martinez is now facing:

  • Murder

  • Rape

  • First-degree assault

He is currently in custody awaiting prosecution.

Background: A Preventable Tragedy

Amandor-Martinez entered the country illegally during the Biden administration, McLaughlin confirmed.

The case has sparked outrage from border hawks and immigration enforcement advocates who argue that loose immigration enforcement continues to endanger American families.

ICE: We Will Not Let Him Walk Free

“ICE has placed an arrest detainer to ensure Amandor-Martinez will not be released onto America’s streets and allowed to terrorize American families again,” McLaughlin said.
