Natasha Lyonne was reportedly taken off a Delta Airlines flight in Los Angeles after showing signs of confusion and failing to heed flight attendants’ requests.
The star of “Orange Is the New Black” had recently attended the Season 3 premiere of HBO’s “Euphoria” before getting on a flight from Los Angeles to New York City, where she was seated in first class.
As the plane prepared for takeoff, Lyonne appeared to be dozing off and did not respond when asked to close her laptop and fasten her seatbelt.
Concerned for her safety, the flight crew returned the plane to the gate after taxiing toward the runway. A flight attendant asked, “Ma’am, do you need medical attention?” and later insisted that she disembark.
Lyonne allegedly asked, “Where are we?” when informed the plane had not yet left the ground.
She exited the aircraft without issue, and the pilot later apologized to other passengers for the delay, explaining the situation.
“We had a passenger who didn’t seem up to the task tonight so that’s why they were asked to be booked on another flight,” he said.
This incident follows Lyonne’s admission of a relapse after many years of sobriety. She had been candid about her struggles, expressing support for others facing similar challenges.
In a recent update on her recovery, she shared on X that she is feeling much better and appreciates the support from recovery communities and fans.
