Hillary Clinton Walks Out of Closed Epstein Deposition After Photo Leak

A closed-door deposition of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton erupted after a photograph taken mid-testimony began circulating online and forced a pause as Republicans demanded answers.

Deposition setting and rules

Clinton had agreed to appear before the House Oversight Committee as part of its inquiry into Jeffrey Epstein and the meeting was held at a performing arts center near the Clintons’ Chappaqua home.

The session was conducted under House rules governing private testimony that prohibit taking or distributing photographs during closed-door depositions.

The image first appeared online in a post by conservative commentator Benny Johnson and spread rapidly across social platforms.

Multiple reports say the photograph was provided to Johnson by Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), who was present inside the deposition room.

Clinton’s legal team immediately objected, arguing that members and witnesses are barred from photographing or sharing images from private testimony.

The hearing was briefly paused while attorneys and lawmakers tried to determine how the image had been captured and shared.

Confrontation and quotes

When the session resumed, video clips circulating online show Clinton visibly frustrated and confronting members of the committee.

“I am done with this.

If you guys are doing that, I am done.

You can hold me in contempt from now until the cows come home.

This is just typical behavior.

Oh, for heaven’s sake.

We all are abiding by the same rules.”

“Pizzagate was totally made up, it was an outrageous allegation… I can’t believe you’re even referencing it… the QAnon people believe it,” Clinton said during the deposition.

Committee response and next steps

According to a source familiar with the deposition, Clinton pressed Chairman James Comer on whether members of the press could be allowed inside following the leak.

Comer declined and said the session would remain closed in accordance with committee procedures.

The deposition resumed less than an hour later.

In her opening statement, Clinton sharply criticized Republicans for compelling her testimony and said she had no knowledge that would assist the committee’s investigation.

She accused lawmakers of using the proceeding as a political distraction from other leads in the Epstein inquiry.

“If this committee is serious about learning the truth about Epstein’s trafficking crimes, it would not rely on press gaggles to get answers from our current president on his involvement; it would ask him directly under oath,” she said.

Clinton also stated she has no information on Epstein’s criminal activities and said she does not recall the meetings the committee has asked about.

Epstein’s longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking.

Former President Bill Clinton is expected to testify as the committee continues its inquiry.

The deposition was being officially recorded, and any authorized footage is expected to undergo review before release.
