Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna says Jeffrey Epstein’s operation amounted to an intelligence-gathering “honeypot” rather than merely a trafficking ring.
Luna’s Allegations
Luna told colleagues after closed-door testimony she believes Epstein ran a calculated intelligence operation.
She said in her professional opinion it functioned as a honeypot designed to collect compromising information.
She also claimed there is a list of people who engaged in trafficking and received plea deals.
Luna identified four women she argues should not be treated as victims.
She named Lesley Groff, Sarah Kellen, Nadia Marcinkova, and Adriana Ross as adults who she says aided Epstein’s operation.
She stated those women participated in harming young girls and therefore should not be granted victim status.
Luna added that she reviewed investigative files she described as disturbing.
She told lawmakers she remembered files showing some victims were as young as ten or eleven years old.
Clinton Deposition and Committee Work
Her remarks came after former President Bill Clinton testified in a closed deposition to the Republican-led House Oversight Committee in Chappaqua, New York.
Clinton repeatedly denied knowledge of Epstein’s abuse of minors and insisted he “did nothing wrong.”
He acknowledged flying on Epstein’s private jet and attending some events where Epstein was present while noting there is no criminal accusation against him.
Chairman James Comer (R-KY) is leading the Oversight Committee review of newly released documents tied to Epstein’s network.
Committee Republicans have said they will release deposition transcripts and video in the coming days.
Democrats on the panel have urged broad transparency and examination of all public officials with prior ties to Epstein.
Potential Next Steps
Lawmakers have not ruled out further subpoenas or public hearings if new information emerges.
Thousands of pages of documents remain under review as the investigation continues.
Rep. Luna’s call for heightened scrutiny may push the probe to examine more individuals connected to Epstein’s network.
