GOP Congressman RIPS Into Liberal NBC Host

During their appearance on “Meet the Press,” Republican Florida Representative Marco Rubio and NBC host Kristen Welker engaged in a heated debate regarding Rubio’s stance on accepting the outcome of the 2024 election, regardless of the result. Rubio, who is rumored to be a potential running mate for former President Donald Trump, was initially discussing his positions on various policies supported by Trump when Welker redirected the conversation towards the election results.

“Let me look forward. Will you accept the election results in 2024 no matter what happens?

“No matter what happens? No, if it’s an unfair election I think it’s going to be contested on either side,” Rubio responded.

“No matter who wins,” Welker corrected.

“I think you’re asking the wrong person. The Democrats are the ones who have opposed every Republican victory since 2000, every single one. Hillary Clinton —” Rubio stated.

Welker persisted in questioning Rubio about his willingness to accept the election outcome, emphasizing that Hillary Clinton conceded the results in 2016 after Trump’s victory. Despite being interrupted twice, Rubio stood his ground against the NBC host, pointing out that Democrats had previously raised objections to counting Ohio’s electoral votes in 2004. Furthermore, he highlighted that some Democrats are now indicating they may refuse to certify the results if Trump emerges as the winner.
