Fox News commentator and doctor Kelly Powers died Sunday following a lengthy battle with brain cancer.
Powers suffered various health complications in 2020, prompting her initial diagnosis, the New York Post reported. Although her illness went into remission, it returned in 2024 before she passed away.
“She was a brave and beautiful soul who could make friends anywhere she went. Kelly had a love for people and she was dedicated to helping others,” an obituary published Dec. 3 reads.
Powers regularly appeared on the Fox News show “Red Eye.” She also led segments on Fox Business focused on health risks in America.
Beyond her career on television, Powers was an accomplished podiatric surgeon. She attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and did her residency at Georgetown and the Boston University School of Medicine.
Her hobbies included gardening, surfing, ballet, biking, running, horseback riding and travel, among others, according to her obituary.

Powers first experienced symptoms of shortness of breath and chest pains before going into heart failure while doing a segment on Fox Business.
“It’s crazy. I went into heart failure while doing a report on Fox Business — live — on heart health and talking about the subtle signs that women often miss. You can’t make this up,” she told Preferred Health Magazine in an interview after she was first diagnosed for her ailments.
Later on, Powers learned she had glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer.
While in remission — after three surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation — Powers got pregnant and gave birth to her son, Bennett.
She is survived by her husband, Steven Doll, as well as her son, her parents and her in-laws.
