Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis issued an executive order on Thursday to facilitate the return of over 20,000 Americans who are currently stuck in Israel due to the ongoing conflict involving Israel and Hamas terrorists supported by Iran.
This decisive move, with a specific focus on rescuing 1,000 Floridians, takes place at a time when the Biden administration is facing mounting criticism for failing to evacuate American citizens from the chaotic region.
“Today I signed an executive order authorizing rescue operations in Israel to bring Floridians home and transport supplies to our allies. We will not leave our residents behind,” Gov. DeSantis wrote on X (Formerly known as Twitter).
“To the many Floridians who are stuck in Israel, trying to get home — help is on the way,” he added.
When asked if Florida will charge the stranded Americans for the flights like the Biden regime will, the governor’s office said NO!
The governor’s executive order specifically calls out the Biden administration for not initiating any rescue or evacuation efforts for stranded Americans.
It states that Floridians in Israel had contacted the governor’s office and Florida’s congressional delegation seeking aid. This was because they were not getting prompt assistance from the U.S. Embassy in Israel and did not observe any clear rescue plan from the U.S. Department of State.
As already reported, the U.S. State Department’s Consular Affairs Crisis Management System (CACMS) has left numerous American citizens in a precarious situation, requiring them to sign promissory notes as a precondition for receiving any assistance in evacuating from the chaotic region.
