Erika Kirk, the widow of slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk, shared emotional images and videos Saturday morning from her husband’s funeral.
The photos show her clutching his hand, weeping over his open casket, and pledging that his mission will continue.
A Widow’s Grief
The Instagram post quickly went viral, drawing more than 3 million likes before comments were disabled.
The first photo showed the Kirk family together in front of red sandstone cliffs.

“I love you, I love you, I know, I miss you so much,” Erika whispered as she kissed Kirk’s hand one final time.
“They have no idea what they just ignited within this wife,” she wrote.
“If they thought my husband’s mission was big now… you have no idea.”

Other photos showed Erika draped across Kirk’s casket, her hair undone.
She was seen holding his yellowed hands, whispering prayers, and weeping.

“Rest in the arms of our Lord, baby,” she wrote in one caption.
Video showed pallbearers carrying Kirk’s casket to a hearse.
The motorcade passed beneath a massive flag at half-staff, lowered by order of President Trump.
Another clip showed Erika being embraced by Vice President JD Vance’s wife, Usha, as she sobbed outside the hearse.
“The world is evil,” Erika wrote in another caption.

“The sound of this widow weeping echoes throughout this world like a battle cry.”
She quoted scripture, adding: “Well done, My good and faithful servant.”
Friday’s Address
One day earlier, Erika gave her first public remarks since the assassination.
“My husband laid down his life for me, for our nation, for our children,” she said.
She promised that Turning Point USA’s campus tour would continue stronger than ever.
A Love Story
Charlie and Erika had just celebrated the seventh anniversary of their first date.
They married in 2021 and share two young children — a daughter, 3, and a son, 1.

Erika, crowned Miss Arizona USA in 2012, often accompanied Charlie on campus events, including the Utah Valley University stop where he was killed.
Three weeks before his death, Erika posted a reflection urging parents to cherish fleeting family moments.
“Life, weirdly enough, is a countdown,” she wrote in August.
“Don’t wish away the chaos of now. Because one day, the house will be still.”
