DOJ Deputy Chief Says Government Will ‘Redact Every Republican’ from Epstein Client List

The O’Keefe Media Group (OMG) on Thursday released undercover video of a senior Justice Department official claiming the government will redact Republican names from Jeffrey Epstein’s client files while leaving Democrat names visible.

“They’ll redact every Republican or conservative person in those files, leave all the liberal, Democratic people in those files, and have a very slanted version of it come out… without really seeing any of their bad behavior,” said Joseph Schnitt, Acting Deputy Chief at the DOJ’s Office of Enforcement Operations.

Thousands of Pages Withheld

Schnitt said there are “thousands and thousands of page-open files” and warned, “If they’re released in any way, it’s going to be very redacted.”

His comments came after the House Oversight Committee released more than 33,000 pages of Epstein-related documents this week, following a subpoena from Chairman James Comer (R-KY). Critics noted the documents revealed little new information.

Maxwell’s Prison Transfer

Schnitt also disclosed that Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s convicted accomplice, was moved to a minimum-security prison despite Bureau of Prisons policy against such placement for sex offenders.

“She’s getting a benefit, which means they’re offering her something to keep her mouth shut,” he said.

Internal FBI Conflict

The DOJ official further described tension within federal law enforcement, claiming FBI leaders wanted the Epstein files released but were constrained by Attorney General Pam Bondi. “Bondi wants whatever Trump wants,” Schnitt said, describing disputes among senior FBI officials.

Public Release Questioned

Despite government assurances of transparency, Schnitt admitted that nothing meaningful has been made public. “Whatever they’ve released has already been publicly released anyway, so they haven’t released anything new,” he said.

OMG confirmed it has reached out to the DOJ, FBI, and Schnitt for comment.
