After a tragic explosion at a hospital in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, Rashida Tlaib quickly took to social media to accuse Israel of being responsible.
She didn’t take the time to verify her sources when the initial reports came in. Instead, on X (formerly known as Twitter), she immediately claimed, “Israel just bombed the Baptist Hospital, killing 500 Palestinians, including doctors, children, and patients, just like that.”
She continued by stating that Joe Biden should also shoulder some of the blame.
“Your war and destruction only approach has opened my eyes and many Palestinian Americans and Muslims Americans like me. We will remember where you stood,” she wrote.
Despite other rash claims from the left, the official U.S. position as outlined by Joe Biden who is now in Tel Aviv meeting with Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu, Islamic Jihad terrorists, and their backers were responsible for the catastrophe.
Biden made clear the attack appeared to have been carried out “by the other team” and not the Israeli military.
He added the Hamas terror group had only brought suffering to those living in Gaza, the West Bank and beyond.
The devastating blast, which allegedly resulted in the deaths of hundreds of individuals, triggered anger. Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas canceled a scheduled meeting with Biden on Wednesday over the issue.
