Police are investigating the discovery of a decomposing body found inside a Tesla registered to singer-songwriter D4vd at a Los Angeles tow yard.
The grim find was made Monday afternoon after workers reported a foul odor coming from the car.

Officers responded shortly before 12:30 p.m. to the impound lot on North Mansfield Avenue in Hollywood.
Inside the Tesla’s front trunk, investigators found human remains sealed inside a bag.

Police said the vehicle had been sitting at the lot for several days after being towed from the Hollywood Hills.
The car, a 2023 Tesla with Texas plates, is registered to David Anthony Burke, better known as D4vd.
The 20-year-old New York-born artist rose to fame with viral tracks such as Romantic Homicide and Here With Me.
D4vd has not been named as a suspect in the case, and authorities have not suggested any direct link to the remains.
Victim Not Identified
The identity of the person found in the Tesla has not been released.

Officials said an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
The LAPD’s homicide division has taken over the investigation.
D4vd’s Current Whereabouts
While the car sat in impound, D4vd remained active on social media, posting updates to his 2 million Instagram followers.
The musician performed in Chicago on Saturday and is scheduled to appear in Minneapolis Tuesday night as part of his ongoing world tour.

His debut album, Petals to Thorns, released in 2023, was followed by his sophomore project Withered earlier this year.
He credits TikTok with launching his career and helping his tracks reach billions of streams worldwide.
Ongoing Investigation
Police are reviewing security footage from the Hollywood Hills area where the car was first reported abandoned.
So far, officials have released no information on possible suspects or how the remains ended up in the vehicle.
Authorities say updates will be provided once the victim is identified and next of kin are notified.
