Chris Stigall, a prominent conservative radio figure, has revealed his intention to run for Congress in Missouri. This decision follows the announcement that long-serving U.S. Congressman Sam Graves (R-MO) will not pursue re-election.
In his announcement video, Stigall expressed his emotional reaction to the surprising news of Graves’ retirement, stating, “I’ve just learned this week that Congressman Sam Graves… has decided to retire.” He noted the significance of this moment, highlighting the need for proactive leadership.
Stigall then delved into key national concerns, including the repercussions of COVID-related censorship and economic disruptions. He praised President Donald Trump for his unwavering dedication, saying, “He didn’t need the job. But he cared enough about his country to put it all on the line.” This level of commitment, Stigall believes, served as a powerful inspiration for his own decision.
Reflecting on the sacrifices made by Trump, Stigall shared how this motivation pushed him to act rather than merely discuss issues. “After prayer… and careful consideration with my family… I’ve decided it’s time to join in the fight,” he declared, signaling his readiness to step into the political arena.
Stigall announced that he will be transitioning away from radio to focus on his congressional campaign. “Today I stop talking. Start fighting,” he stated, promising to share more details in the future.

A native of Richmond, Missouri, Stigall boasts a rich background in broadcasting. He earned a degree from Northwest Missouri State University and began his career as a press assistant for Congressman Graves.
His journey in radio commenced in the late 1990s in Kansas City, progressing to the launch of “The Chris Stigall Show” in 2006. After transitioning to Philadelphia radio and contributing as a commentator, he returned to Kansas City in 2019.
As of 2023, he joined the Salem Radio Network as the host of “Waking Up America!,” a show reaching audiences nationwide.
Stigall’s entry into the race aligns with the opening of Missouri’s 6th Congressional District seat. This district encompasses significant regions in northern Missouri, including parts of Kansas City and adjacent rural areas.
With an R+19 rating from the Cook Partisan Voting Index, the district is positioned strongly for Republican candidates.
