CNN’s chief data analyst Harry Enten made waves Friday when he called President Donald Trump the “most influential president of this century” — and perhaps even dating back to the last — during a segment analyzing Trump’s sweeping policy changes and historic metrics in office.
“Love it, like it, lump it. Trump is remaking the United States of America,” Enten said.
CNN: “The Donald Trump administration is arguably the most influential this century, and probably as well dating back a good portion of the last century as well.”

CNN: Trump’s Policy Footprint is Unmatched
Enten pointed to data trends that support his claim:
Tariffs: The effective U.S. tariff rate has risen to 18%, the highest level since President Franklin D. Roosevelt in the 1930s. Just one year ago, it stood at only 2%.
Immigration: Net migration has plummeted by over 60% since 2024. The U.S. could see net negative migration for the first time in five decades, a dramatic shift from the 2.8 million net migrants recorded last year.
Executive Orders: Trump has signed 180 executive orders in 2025 alone, the most issued in a single year since FDR. In contrast, Joe Biden signed only 77 executive orders during his first full year in office.
“It Truly Is History-Making”
“In my mind, Donald Trump is the most influential president of this century — and probably dating back a good portion of the last century,” Enten concluded.
“It truly is history-making.”
The segment aired as part of CNN’s ongoing coverage of the 2025 policy landscape, and is already gaining traction online among both supporters and critics of the Trump administration.
A clip of the segment, shared by The Post Millennial, quickly went viral, with many noting the significance of a CNN analyst acknowledging Trump’s historic impact.
