Clinton’s Lawyer Visibly Uncomfortable as He Revisits Epstein-Tagged Photos and Masseuse Remark

Former President Bill Clinton denied any sexual misconduct as lawmakers confronted him with newly released images showing him in a swimming pool with Ghislaine Maxwell and in a hot tub with a woman whose identity has been redacted by the Department of Justice.

The footage shows Clinton rifling through a packet of old photographs during his appearance before the House Oversight Committee, and his attorney sat beside him visibly mortified as Clinton appeared to reminisce.

The discomfort deepened when Clinton brought up Chauntae Davies, a masseuse who has been publicly identified and was photographed with him during the trip.

Clinton said, “I liked her,” as his attorney again appeared uneasy on camera.

Lawmakers asked him directly whether he had sexual relations with the woman in the hot tub photo.

He answered “No” flatly.

Under federal law, the DOJ is required to release documents and images connected to Jeffrey Epstein while censoring information that could identify victims.

Clinton testified the photos were taken during a stay at a hotel in Brunei at the invitation of the country’s sultan, whom he said he had come to know during his presidency.

He said the sultan had attended the Asia-Pacific leaders conference, which Clinton said he started, and that the sultan invited him to use the hotel’s pool.

Brunei is a small, oil-rich kingdom on the island of Borneo near Indonesia.

He recalled using the pool and then going to bed exhausted.

Clinton acknowledged that both Epstein and Maxwell were at the resort but said he could not remember who else was present and did not explain why they accompanied him.

He told lawmakers that to the best of his recollection no minors were at the pool and that he believed everyone there was part of the traveling party and that a Secret Service agent may have been present.

Clinton appeared as part of the committee’s ongoing investigation into Epstein, the disgraced financier who associated with high-profile political and business figures before dying in federal custody in 2019 while facing sex trafficking charges involving minors.

Despite multiple photographs linking him socially to Epstein, Clinton has denied knowing about Epstein’s crimes or taking part in them.

“I don’t think there was anyone else in that hot tub,” Clinton said.

“I had forgotten there was anyone in the hot tub,” Clinton added.
