BREAKING NEWS: Trump Officially Accepts Biden’s Offer of Two Debates

President Joe Biden’s debate invitation, shared in a video on X platform on May 15th, was promptly accepted by former President Donald Trump via a response on Truth Social within the hour.

President Biden said in a brief 15-second video that he won two debates against President Trump in 2020, adding that since then, Trump has failed to participate in any further debates.

“Now he’s acting like he wants to debate me again,” President Biden said in the video. ‘Well, make my day, pal. I’ll even do it twice, so let’s pick the dates Donald—I hear you’re free on Wednesdays.”

President Trump fired back, stating that, in his view, President Biden is the “worst” debater he’s ever encountered and adding that the current president “can’t put two sentences together.”

“It’s time for a debate so that he can explain to the American People his highly destructive Open Border Policy, new and ridiculous EV Mandates, the allowance of Crushing Inflation, High Taxes, and his really WEAK Foreign Policy, which is allowing the World to ‘Catch on Fire.’ I am Ready and Willing to Debate Crooked Joe at the two proposed times in June and September,” President Trump said in his post on Truth Social.

President Trump made reference to the dates suggested by the Biden campaign in a letter sent to the Commission on Presidential Debates on Wednesday. The letter stated that the president would not be participating in the pre-scheduled debates but suggested that the campaigns should take charge of organizing the debates themselves.

The commission had previously set dates for one vice-presidential debate and three presidential debates, starting on Sept. 16. However, the Biden campaign expressed in the letter their desire to hold the debates before early voting begins, proposing one in June and another in September.

President Trump responded further in his post on Truth Social, adding:

“I would strongly recommend more than two debates and, for excitement purposes, a very large venue, although Biden is supposedly afraid of crowds – That’s only because he doesn’t get them. Just tell me when, I’ll be there. Let’s get ready to Rumble!!!”

President Trump’s campaign has requested additional 2024 presidential debates and urged for them to occur “much earlier” than originally suggested by the debate commission, as outlined in their letter to the organization last month.
