A left-wing extremist committed three separate crimes this week in Michigan, targeting supporters of Donald Trump. Among the incidents, the individual ran over an elderly Trump supporter with an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) before reportedly taking his own life.
The Hancock City Police Department (HCPD) announced that at approximately 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, the suspect drove an ATV onto the lawn of an 80-year-old man who was placing a Trump sign in his yard. The elderly man was intentionally struck by the vehicle.
The (HCPD) also noted the thug also vandalized two vehicles for displaying pro-police stickers and flags.
The injured Trump supporter was taken to the hospital with severe injuries after the violent attack and remains in critical condition.
Here is the press release from the HCPD regarding the incident:
On Monday afternoon, WMZQ reported that the HCPD received a call from someone on Samson Street in Quincy Township who wanted to confess to the crimes. The individual also requested that the police “send someone to pick me up.”
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a 22-year-old male suspect dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The suspect had taken his own life.
WZMQ also reported that police deputies obtained a search warrant for the residence and seized several electronic devices, which will be analyzed by computer forensic specialists.
The ATV used in the incident was also recovered, along with the clothing the suspect was wearing during the attack.
These despicable attacks on Trump supporters come just days after the 45th President was nearly assassinated by a 20-year-old Democrat donor named Thomas Matthew Crooks.
The Hancock City Police Department has not name the perpetrator even after his demise. The investigation remains ongoing.
