Both President-elect Trump and Vice President-elect Vance say this morning that they’ve got Pete Hegseth’s back as he makes the rounds to gain support for his nomination to be Secretary of Defense.
Here’s both statements in one tweet, with Trump saying Hegseth’s “support is strong and deep” and Vance saying “We’ve got his back”:
Led by President Trump, we’re fighting for Pete Hegseth. And we’re doing so because Pete Hegseth wil fight for our troops.
For too long, the Pentagon has been led by people who lose wars. Pete Hegseth is a man who fought in those wars.
