Bomb Squad Rush to Turning Point USA’s Phoenix HQ

A bomb squad rushed to Turning Point USA’s headquarters in Phoenix on Wednesday.

Police said the response came after a suspicious bag was found outside the building.

Emergency Response

The Phoenix Police Department confirmed officers arrived around 9:30 a.m.

A bomb robot and an officer in an EOD suit were deployed to the scene.

The street outside the headquarters was cleared as a precaution.

Yellow police tape and police vehicles surrounded the area.

Authorities later announced there was no active threat.

The bag was deemed safe and restrictions were lifted.

Recent Vandalism

Days earlier, a 19-year-old man vandalized the memorial outside TPUSA.

Ryder Corral was arrested for criminal damage and disorderly conduct.

Witnesses say he destroyed flowers, vases, and flags at the tribute.

He was quickly subdued by bystanders and taken into custody.

Corral wore the same style of clothing as Kirk’s suspected killer.

Kirk’s Funeral

Charlie Kirk was assassinated September 10 at Utah Valley University.

The conservative leader was shot in the neck during a campus event.

His funeral will be held Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Arizona.

The stadium is home to the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals.

Kirk leaves behind his wife and two young children.

Court Proceedings

Suspected killer Tyler Robinson appeared in court Tuesday evening.

Robinson faces seven counts, including capital murder.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty, possibly by firing squad.

Robinson appeared dazed and spoke only to confirm his name.

He was ordered held without bail until his next hearing on September 29.
