The disturbing image displays Trump as if he were lying beneath a gravestone inscribed with “DONALD J. TRUMP 1946–2024.” Below this, the words “If Only” are prominently featured.
Hamill added his perspective, stating, “If Only. He should live long enough to witness his inevitable devastating loss in the midterms, be held accountable for his unprecedented corruption, impeached, convicted & humiliated for his countless crimes. Long enough to realize he’ll be disgraced in the history books, forevermore. #don_TheCON.”
This post has drawn substantial backlash online, with many critics arguing that such imagery is particularly sensitive in a nation still healing from past assassination threats and incidents.
While Hamill emphasized that Trump should “live long enough” to face political repercussions, the focus has largely remained on the grave image linked to the phrase “If Only.”
