A 26-year-old resident of San Antonio, Jacob Wenske, has been charged with making serious threats against Erika Kirk, the President of Turning Point USA, and her colleagues.
Wenske was taken into custody by local police on Wednesday and faces two felony counts for creating terroristic threats, resulting in public concern over potential bodily harm. His bond is set at $120,000.
The allegations stem from online comments and an email linked to Wenske related to the scheduled Women’s Leadership Summit by Turning Point USA (TPUSA), which will take place at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter from June 5-7, 2026. Erika Kirk, the CEO of TPUSA and widow of the group’s late founder Charlie Kirk, is a key speaker at the event.
Online Behavior Under Scrutiny
The investigation arose after a local newspaper posted about the summit on Facebook. Wenske allegedly commented, “I know exactly where to bomb,” in response to the post.
In another comment, he wrote, “I can’t wait to be the valet for her escort,” according to prosecutors said.
Escalating Threats
Investigators noted Wenske’s past employment with a valet service, which made his threats more credible. They found evidence of ongoing hostility toward TPUSA and its supporters, including encouraging violence against ideological opponents.
Authorities traced his comments through various identifying details, including email addresses and IP addresses. An additional threat was made in an email sent on January 26, 2026, where Wenske declared, “Death to Erika Kirk and every single speaker there!!”
Increased Security Measures
These threats led TPUSA to enhance security for the event, employing extra uniformed officers, private security, and bomb detection teams.
“The safety of our attendees, speakers, and staff is always our top priority. All TPUSA events include enhanced, multi-layered security measures enforced by both private security and local police,” stated TPUSA spokesman Matt Shupe to Fox News.
Despite these threats, TPUSA remains committed to holding a successful Women’s Leadership Summit for over 2,500 attendees.
