Alvin Bragg’s Prosecutors Lie About 2016 Election in Opening Statement to Jurors

Opening statements began in the trial of President Trump’s ‘hush payment’ case in New York City on Monday morning.

During his opening statement, the top prosecutor for Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg falsely asserted that Trump “orchestrated a criminal scheme to corrupt the 2016 presidential election” when he paid porn star Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about their alleged affair.

Trump has denied the affair.

Matthew Colangelo, the lead prosecutor who delivered Monday’s opening statement for Bragg, has a background in the Justice Department as a Biden appointee and is known as a lifelong left-wing activist.

“The defendant, Donald Trump, orchestrated a criminal scheme to corrupt the 2016 presidential election. Then he covered up that criminal conspiracy by lying in his New York business records over and over and over again,” prosecutor Matthew Colangelo – a former top Biden DOJ appointee – told jurors, according to AP.

Last April, Alvin Bragg brought forth indictments against Trump on 34 felony charges concerning the ‘hush payments’ made to Stormy Daniels.

Trump faced allegations of using his former attorney, Michael Cohen, to make ‘hush payments’ to porn star Stormy Daniels, also known as Stephanie Clifford.

The payments were purportedly part of a scheme to silence her and prevent the story of their alleged affair from being published in the National Enquirer.

The funds directed to Stormy Daniels were NOT sourced from Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

According to Trump attorney Joe Tacopina, the payments were processed through internal business records, with no tax deduction claimed and no requirement to report them to the FEC.

Alvin Bragg didn’t specify the exact charges he aimed to bring against Trump in the filing.

Bragg informed reporters that he isn’t obligated to disclose the underlying felony to anyone.

The FEC penalized Clinton, citing her campaign’s failure to disclose payments channeled to Fusion GPS via the DNC’s legal representative, Perkins Coie.

Clinton received a minor punishment for her actions, while Trump is currently on trial in New York City.

However, President Donald Trump finds himself in court, enduring mistreatment and defamation from the prosecutors and the presiding judge, who is widely known for opposing Trump’s policies.

Democrats are destroying our justice system like they’ve done with everything else they’ve influenced.

This is a glaring example of a two-tiered justice system.
