In a sequence of three social media updates on Friday evening, President Donald Trump initiated what was described by a news outlet as “his most significant assault to date” on independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Trump labeled Kennedy as a Democrat “operative” with the intention of aiding incumbent President Joe Biden in securing re-election in November.
“RFK Jr. is a Democrat “Plant,” a Radical Left Liberal who’s been put in place in order to help Crooked Joe Biden, the Worst President in the History of the United States, get Re-Elected,” Trump wrote in his first post, saying that votes “protest” for Kennedy were wasted.
In a follow-up post, Trump said that Kennedy’s “Radicalized Family will never allow him to be a Republican.”
Trump proceeded to condemn Kennedy’s selection for vice president, California attorney and radical-leftist Nicole Shanahan, whom he claimed was chosen solely for her personal wealth.
Shanahan, an anti-police activist, went through a private arbitration process to divorce Google co-founder Sergey Brin, with reports suggesting she may have received $390 million or more from the settlement.
Having previously backed several left-leaning candidates and causes, Shanahan, as a vice presidential nominee, is legally permitted to make unlimited contributions to the presidential campaign.
In a subsequent post, Trump continued to criticize Kennedy’s extreme environmental policies, noting his previous support for the “Green New Deal.”
He also disputed Kennedy’s anti-establishment stance on vaccine safety and efficacy, a topic Kennedy has been vocal about for over a decade, labeling it as “false.”
Trump even went as far as to suggest that America would be better off with another four years of a Biden presidency rather than having Kennedy in the Oval Office.
