Early Monday morning, a drive-by protest took place at the residence of National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan in Washington, D.C. As reported by Politico, a car passing by Sullivan’s house threw a small amount of manure at the property around 8:20 a.m.
The District of Columbia workers promptly cleaned up the mess.

According to the New York Post, Anthony Guglielmi, a representative from the Secret Service, confirmed that officers from the Secret Service Uniformed Division and the D.C.’s bomb squad promptly responded to a report of a suspicious package near Sullivan’s residence at approximately 8:30 a.m.
“The Metropolitan Police Department’s Explosive Ordinance Disposal team responded and declared the scene as safe,” Guglielmi said. “The incident is under investigation.”
Sullivan’s residence has been the focus of demonstrations by pro-Palestinian groups, including one that took place on Christmas Day.
The People’s Forum, a left-wing organization that orchestrated the protest, has labeled Sullivan as a “war criminal.”
In a separate unusual incident last April, Sullivan encountered an intruder in his home during the early hours of the morning, as reported by The Washington Post.
The residence is under constant protection by the Secret Service. During the encounter, Sullivan instructed the man to leave around 3 a.m. without any signs of forced entry. The individual in question seemed to be either intoxicated, disoriented, or both, with sources cited by the Post indicating that there was no apparent connection between the man and Sullivan, nor any intention to cause harm.
The manure incident coincides with the Biden administration’s recent actions that have strained relations with Israel, such as supporting a United Nations Security Council resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. John Kirby, the spokesperson for the White House’s National Security Council, emphasized on Monday that there has been no shift in policy, as reported by Politico.
Kirby stated that the administration aims to combat Hamas, secure the release of hostages from the October 7 attack on Israel, and engage in open discussions about safeguarding civilians during the ongoing conflict.
