Fox News anchor Bret Baier was pulled over in Washington, D.C., on Monday and ticketed for distracted driving.
A video posted to social media showed Baier’s white Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon stopped in Georgetown as an officer spoke to him from outside the vehicle.
The clip quickly went viral, with some users joking about Baier’s “tasteful ride” while others praised his calm cooperation with police.

Baier Confirms the Ticket
Baier later addressed the incident himself in a post on X:
“I picked up my ringing phone as I drove past an officer while driving my wife’s car in Georgetown. He pointed to have me pull over – I did. He was very professional. I had to dig for the registration card. Got a ticket and left. I didn’t know there was paparazzi.”
His description matched the video, which showed him calmly interacting with officers before driving away.
According to Baier, the encounter was handled professionally, though it still ended with him receiving a ticket.
Trump’s D.C. Crime Blitz
The stop happened as Washington faces heightened policing after President Donald Trump ordered National Guard troops into the capital to assist with law enforcement.
Trump has called the move necessary to combat murders, carjackings, and assaults in the city.
Democrats and some media outlets, however, described the move as a “takeover” of the city by federal authorities.
