Newly declassified FBI interview reports indicate that then-Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) approved leaking classified information to smear President Donald Trump, according to Just The News.
Now, U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C., Jeanine Pirro says the case is “right in her wheelhouse” and pledged to take action if the evidence supports prosecution.
The whistleblower — a Democrat staffer from Schiff’s own office — told the FBI that Schiff personally authorized the release of derogatory classified material about Trump during the Russiagate investigation.
The allegations were detailed in FBI 302 reports declassified by Director Kash Patel and sent to Congress.
Pirro: “You Will Hear From Me”
Speaking to host Benny Johnson on Tuesday, Pirro made clear she will not provide a running commentary on her investigations.
“The difference between me and some other people is that I don’t talk about what I’m investigating,” Pirro said. “When I have the evidence, when I have enough to go forward, you will hear from me loud and clear.”
Serious National Security Implications
Former U.S. Attorney Brett Tolman noted that only the U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C., can decide whether to move forward on a case like this. If proven, the whistleblower’s claims suggest Schiff weaponized sensitive national security information to target a sitting president.
Pirro declined to say whether she has reviewed the documents but emphasized that such allegations fall squarely under her purview.
