Democrats for Haley? Report Gives Away Gameplan to Steal Iowa from Trump

A new report is revealing the Democrats’ gameplan to ‘steal Iowa’ from Donald Trump.

It seeks to get Democratic voters to cross the line in the Iowa caucuses in order to unite Trump’s opposition around a singular candidate: Nikki Haley.

Axios provided the details of the tried-and-true plan, which is a variation of the late Rush Limbaugh’s famous “Operation Chaos.”

Some Iowa Democrats and independents are planning to crash the state’s Republican caucuses Monday night and become “Republicans for a day” to vote for Nikki Haley — but mostly, against former President Trump.

Driving the news: It’s unclear how many will show up, but “crossover” voting is a low-key tradition in Iowa’s caucuses — and it’s one of the big unknowns heading into Monday, along with how the dangerously cold weather will affect things.

The Axios report lists a number of factors that would drive Democratic voters to come out in droves to cast an icy vote to cool off Donald Trump’s primary campaign.

Iowa allows day-of party registration for voters, and Democrats aren’t holding in-person presidential caucuses this year.
That’s given mischievous anti-Trump voters “a chance to diminish Trump’s inevitability,” as Don McLeese of West Des Moines put it.
McLeese told Axios he’ll be a crossover voter Monday: “I’ll hold my nose and caucus for Haley,” the former UN ambassador who’s been rising in GOP polls.

The devil’s in the details and here’s the important secondary part of the plan.

Crossover voters are highly unlikely to help Haley catch Trump, who’s consistently had a big lead in Iowa polls.

But GOP strategist David Kochel said that if crossovers see Haley as the best Republican alternative to Trump, they could help her finish a solid second in Iowa, ahead of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Here is where the intrigue comes in. Vivek Ramaswamy has inflamed passionate Trump voters while on the campaign trail in Iowa by suggesting that powerful elites aren’t going to let Donald Trump win.

Donald Trump had recently blasted Vivek Ramaswamy amidst his campaign to position himself better in the primary campaign polls.

Ramaswamy explained his position in an X post.

Vivek has suggested that the establishment ‘Uniparty’ in Washington D.C. is trying to set up a 2024 race where it’s Trump first, Haley second.

Adding to the intrigue, former Speaker Nancy Pelosi has slyly insinuated that it is “impossible” for Donald Trump to become president again.

In a recent development, Nikki Haley has surpassed Ron DeSantis in Iowa polling, just days before a high-stakes Republican caucus that will decide if either contender has a realistic chance of unseating Donald Trump, the race’s clear frontrunner.

Despite moving into second place, a new Des Moines Register/NBC News/Mediacom Iowa survey suggests Haley’s popularity may be on “shaky ground,” according to pollster J. Ann Selzer, who conducted the survey.

The Iowa Poll shows 48% of likely Republican caucusgoers pick Trump as their first choice for president — a slight dip from the 51% who said the same in December.

Haley, who has shown more upward momentum since the start of the caucus cycle than any other candidate, now sits in second place at 20%. It is her best showing in the Iowa Poll, and an increase of 4 percentage points since December.

DeSantis has fallen 3 percentage points to slip to third place at 16%.

Meanwhile, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) is calling out the establishment’s dirty tricks and has announced a rallying cry for Republican primary and caucus goers: “Never Nikki.”

Senator Paul, in an interview with Breitbart News, explained his opposition to Nikki Haley.

“I think every one of the other — I won’t say everyone — Trump, DeSantis, and Ramaswamy have all had significant misgivings and criticism of sending more money to Ukraine. I think all three of those candidates would be less likely to get us involved in a war. And I just have chosen — for, you know, my own reasons — not to get involved other than that, but I didn’t want to sit completely on the sidelines and watch an upset or something like that happen in New Hampshire,” Paul said.

“And I’m very, very concerned that if she were president that she’d get us involved in foreign wars,” he continued.

“I think there’s definitely a surge in money [backing Haley],” Paul added. He stated his view that corporate leaders are lining up to back Haley due to their alleged “Trump Derangement Syndrome” (TDS).

It might not be the 2024 election, yet, but Trump’s opposition intends to send the message that the former president doesn’t have a shot to win in November.

It is the same message the media sent Donald Trump and his supporters prior to the 2016 election, when he garnered an upset victory against Hillary Clinton that ‘shocked the world.’
