In a shocking turn of events in the 2024 election campaign, President Donald Trump is now leading President Joe Biden with America’s youth vote in a number of recent surveys.
Multiple surveys that show this campaign development were reported at Fox Business.
“According to these surveys, the polls suggest Donald Trump could do better with young voters than any other Republican candidate of the modern era,” the report said. “How about that for a statement? A recent USA today survey showed voters under 35 supported Trump over Biden by 37 to 33% margin. Last month, a New York Times/Siena College poll also showed registered voters between the ages of 18 and 29 favored Trump over Biden 49 to 43%.”
“Well, as you can imagine, the numbers creating a lot of angst among Democrats who are hoping the polls are inaccurate or biased in some way,” the report continued. “And by the way, a Republican’s not won a majority of the youth vote since the era of Ronald Reagan. So the polls seem to be favoring Mr. Trump among the youngsters.”
The USA Today poll from January 1st was stark in its findings:

In a new USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll, Biden’s failure to consolidate support in key parts of the coalition that elected him in 2020 has left him narrowly trailing Trump, the likely Republican nominee, 39%-37%; 17% support an unnamed third-party candidate.
When seven candidates are specified by name, Trump’s lead inches up to 3 percentage points, 37%-34%, with independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr. at the top of the third-party candidates at 10%.
The findings underscore the formidable political task the president faces this year to win a second term.
The Democratic voter base erosion has also showed up in threats to Biden’s Electoral College vote, as a widely read New York Times/Siena College poll in November illustrated.
Across the six battlegrounds — all of which Mr. Biden carried in 2020 — the president trails by an average of 48 to 44 percent. A widely read November poll illustrated the alarming development for the Biden campaign.
Discontent pulsates throughout the Times/Siena poll, with a majority of voters saying Mr. Biden’s policies have personally hurt them. The survey also reveals the extent to which the multiracial and multigenerational coalition that elected Mr. Biden is fraying. Demographic groups that backed Mr. Biden by landslide margins in 2020 are now far more closely contested, as two-thirds of the electorate sees the country moving in the wrong direction.
Voters under 30 favor Mr. Biden by only a single percentage point, his lead among Hispanic voters is down to single digits and his advantage in urban areas is half of Mr. Trump’s edge in rural regions. And while women still favored Mr. Biden, men preferred Mr. Trump by twice as large a margin, reversing the gender advantage that had fueled so many Democratic gains in recent years.
Black voters — long a bulwark for Democrats and for Mr. Biden — are now registering 22 percent support in these states for Mr. Trump, a level unseen in presidential politics for a Republican in modern times.
Add it all together, and Mr. Trump leads by 10 points in Nevada, six in Georgia, five in Arizona, five in Michigan and four in Pennsylvania. Mr. Biden held a 2-point edge in Wisconsin.
No wonder Democrats are pulling out all the stops to get Donald Trump’s name removed from state ballots using novel legal theories and any other means possible.
