Hulk Hogan’s Cause of Death Revealed

Wrestling icon Hulk Hogan, born Terry Bollea, died of acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack, according to official documents from the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center obtained by Page Six.

The 71-year-old WWE legend suffered cardiac arrest at his Clearwater, Florida, home on July 24, and was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to Morton Plant Hospital.

New Details: AFib and Leukemia

The medical report also revealed that Hogan had:

  • A history of atrial fibrillation (AFib) – an irregular, often rapid heart rhythm condition.

  • A previously undisclosed history of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) – a cancer of the blood and bone marrow that affects white blood cells.

This is the first time his battle with CLL has been made public. The manner of death was ruled natural.

Cremation Request Filed

A cremation summary approval report was filed with the medical examiner’s office. While a date has not yet been set, a spokesperson confirmed that a request for cremation approval has been received.

Health Decline and Surgery Rumors

Just weeks before his death, Hogan underwent anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) surgery, a complex spinal procedure. Despite rumors that he was in a coma or brain-dead, his wife Sky Daily previously reassured fans that his heart was strong and none of the health rumors were true.

“He’s healing and we’re taking it one day at a time with love, strength, and patience,” Daily wrote on July 12.

Family and Friends Remember a Wrestling Icon

Since his passing, heartfelt tributes have poured in from Hogan’s family:

Sky Daily, 46, wrote, “This loss is sudden and impossible to process… my heart is in pieces.”

Nick Hogan, his son, called his father his “best friend” and shared touching throwback photos.

Brooke Hogan, who had been estranged from her father, said, “When he left this earth, it felt like part of my spirit left with him.”

Linda Hogan, his ex-wife of over two decades, admitted, “I’m still in love with him… it’s so hard.”

WWE Honors the Legend

The WWE held a televised memorial during “Monday Night Raw”, where fans and fellow wrestlers honored the Hall of Famer. Hogan’s son Nick was seen visibly emotional during the tribute.
