Bill Melugin, who has covered wildfires for the last 8 years says he’s never seen anything like it and that entire neighborhoods are gone. He said every street he walks down is nothing but scorched destruction.

In addition to all of this, one of the two super scoopers used to drop water on fires was damaged yesterday by someone flying an illegal drone. It will be down until Monday.
UPDATE: LA County Fire says the damaged Super Scooper is being repaired and should be available by “Monday”.
One of the biggest assets firefighters have is grounded for 3 days because of a moron flying a drone. https://t.co/gRoMQUpHUr— Bill Melugin (@BillMelugin_) January 10, 2025
Also, the LA Times is reporting that the reservoir in the Palisades that holds 117 million gallons of water was offline for scheduled maintenance. Whose bright idea was that???

Lastly, I’ll mention that someone did find something unscathed in one home that burnt to the ground…
