BIG Speaker Johnson says they’ve reached a CONSENSUS

Speaker Johnson is now telling reporters that they have reached a consensus and there will not be a government shutdown.

The CR will be combined with disaster relief and aid for farmers.

JOHNSON tells me “We will not have a government shutdown and we will meet our obligations for our farmers who need aid for the disaster victims all over the country, and for making sure that military and essential services, and everyone who relies upon the federal government for a paycheck is paid over the holidays.”

We’ll see if they really have consensus and if they can do this. I remain skeptical.

The new bill is out and the House will be voting around 5:30PM eastern or before. They plan to leave at 6PM:

Here’s a link to the bill which is 118 pages…

And here’s a livestream…

Speaker Johnson is a worm! Look at the smug grin on his face after selling out…again! When you compromise with evil (Leftists), evil always wins.
So, yippee…he averted a shutdown, added to the deficit and kicked the can down the road. He acts like controlled opposition! Let’s not be complacent Republicans. Follow thru and elect a speaker with a fighting spirit, and a sense of America First, who won’t appease.
A real Leader! We can’t continue like this.

We DO NOT “have a consensus”; we have yet ANOTHER “cave to leftists’ destructive tactics’! There is a major difference! A consensus would not have so many valid objections coming from only members of 1 party! Neither would it have failed to appear for a vote before a mere 1/2 hr before Friday evening recess right before the holiday break! We must NOT allow Johnson to treat this subject failure to DO his job like some sort of quasi victory!
