A visibly disappointed Rosie O’Donnell is calling for the abolition of the Electoral College after President-elect Donald Trump’s confident victory over Kamala Harris.
However, she fails to acknowledge that Trump won both the electoral and popular votes in Tuesday’s election.
Rosie O’Donnell, whose rivalry with Donald Trump spans years, if not decades, posted a TikTok video following his victory. Appearing to be ill, possibly with the flu, the former talk show host was in a subdued mood but managed to remain composed—until partway through the video, when she labeled the Electoral College as ‘racist.’
“Get ready because we’re in for one hell of a ride. With him at the helm. No immunity guardrails,” she said.
“And how about we get rid of the Electoral College? Anybody like that? Anyone? I’m not so sure anymore,” she added. “It’s a popular vote, that’s what we need to do. Who gets the most votes wins — one vote, one person. No racist math in the equation.”
Still, Trump won 50.9 percent of the popular vote, versus Harris’ 47.6 percent.
Trump’s electoral win was a landslide. After securing victories in both Nevada and Arizona, his electoral count stands at 312, while Kamala Harris has 226.
