Disturbing audio has surfaced from the tragic crash of a private jet in Florida, which occurred on Sunday, killing all nine passengers aboard. The recordings capture the pilots’ frantic communication with air traffic controllers as their aircraft descended rapidly.
The Learjet 60 went down around 12:50 p.m. in Palm Springs, Palm Beach County. This led to a scene of devastation, as first responders encountered a massive crater and wreckage scattered across the area.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the flight had taken off from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas, en route to North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas.
Unfortunately, the journey ended in catastrophe well before reaching its destination.
Footage has revealed the jet nosediving toward a neighborhood before it ignited into flames, sending thick black smoke spiraling into the sky as emergency teams rushed to the site.
Recordings obtained from LiveATC.net disclose the harrowing back-and-forth between the pilots and air traffic control during their ordeal.
The distress began with inquiries about the aircraft’s weather conditions.
“What’s the outside air temperature?” an air traffic controller asked.
“Minus 47 degrees Celsius. We’re managing the ice, but it is moderate turbulence,” the pilot replied.
The controller continued monitoring as the crew tried to navigate through worsening conditions.

“Let me know if you need anything else. I’m just working you into my airspace right now,” the controller said.
As conditions intensified, the urgency grew.
“Now we’re picking up precipitation. We need to climb,” the pilot stated.
“Roger. Climb and maintain,” the controller instructed.
Yet instead of ascending, the aircraft began a perilous descent.
The pilot quickly broadcasted a mayday call as the descent rate escalated dangerously.

“We’re gonna crash into the ground,” the pilot reported.
The controller persisted in communication as the situation grew dire.
“November two Bravo Delta. I’m here with you. Talk to me,” he instructed.
While descending, the pilot indicated the jet was making a sharp bank.
“We are descending 22,000 feet, and we are banking 60 degrees.”
The last recorded moments included screams from the cockpit, followed by the pilot’s desperate shout, “Look outside.”
“November two Bravo Delta. How do you hear?” the controller inquired.
No further communication was captured.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis addressed the situation in a news conference, referring to the crash as catastrophic.
“Obviously, this was a cataclysmic plane crash. It looked like a missile going down,” DeSantis remarked. “It left a big crater on the side of the road.”
Palm Beach County deputies and fire rescue teams responded to the scene, where debris was scattered widely due to the impact.
Authorities confirmed that there were no survivors from the crash.
While the recordings indicate icing, turbulence, and precipitation, it remains undetermined if these factors caused the accident.
Investigative efforts are ongoing to identify the cause of this tragic event.
Officials have not yet disclosed the names of the nine victims, with DeSantis mentioning that it was uncertain if any were from Florida.
The FAA has verified that all individuals aboard the Learjet lost their lives in this tragic incident.
