Spencer Pratt has resurfaced in the public eye, this time within the realm of politics.
The former reality TV star, now running for mayor in Los Angeles, stirred some interest during a recent interview on CNN’s The Story Is with Elex Michaelson. When asked if he had a political icon, Pratt responded without hesitation.
His answer? Jesus Christ, whom he referred to as a politician.
Michaelson seemed taken aback but quickly asked which contemporary politician Pratt admires.
For that detail, viewers will have to catch the segment. Spoiler: It’s not Jesus.
Pratt is set to challenge the current mayor, Karen Bass, with the election scheduled for June 2.
Former President Donald Trump has expressed his desire to see Pratt succeed, noting his support for the reality star-turned-candidate, known for his loyalty to Trump’s ideals.

In a statement at Joint Base Andrews, Trump compared Pratt’s journey to his own transition from reality television to politics and emphasized that even though he doesn’t know Pratt personally, he believes in him because he represents MAGA values.
In essence, Pratt’s support from Trump is seen as a positive sign for his campaign.
However, Pratt is not solely relying on celebrity endorsements. He aims to connect with voters by focusing on public safety, especially for families in Los Angeles. He asserted, “The only support I need is from moms that wanna feel safe in Los Angeles. I’m laser focused on that.”

Trump acknowledged the significant challenges for conservatives in California’s electoral landscape, hinting at a lack of trust in the state’s election processes. He even remarked that it might take divine intervention to address what he views as dishonesty among Democrats.
Pratt has been vocal in his criticism of both Mayor Bass and Governor Gavin Newsom, calling out their policies and decisions as part of his campaign narrative.
Should Pratt achieve victory, it won’t just be a political win. Cameras are expected to capture his journey through City Hall, as Pratt and his family reportedly prepare for a new docuseries about their experiences amid the chaos of political life.
