Former President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Iran on Monday, stressing that time is running out for Tehran to propose a satisfactory nuclear agreement to prevent it from acquiring nuclear weapons.
This warning coincided with reports of the Israeli military eliminating a senior commander of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Lebanon. The Trump administration is gearing up for an important Situation Room meeting regarding potential military actions against Iran.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported that an airstrike in Lebanon took out Wael Mahmoud Abd al-Halim, who was identified as the commander for Islamic Jihad in the Beqaa region.
This strike is part of a larger Israeli military operation, with the IDF indicating that it has conducted 30 airstrikes in Lebanon over the last 24 hours. These strikes targeted militant infrastructures like a weapon storage facility and observation posts used by Hezbollah to orchestrate attacks against IDF forces and Israel.

Trump is slated to convene a Situation Room meeting on Tuesday to discuss the possibility of reinitiating military actions against Iran. The White House has been urging Tehran to reach an agreement, framing the negotiations as critically urgent.
The U.S.-brokered Abraham Accords, which have been touted as a counterbalance to Iranian influence in the region, are reportedly facing increased strain due to rising tensions between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.
In the Gulf region, the UAE condemned a recent drone attack on one of its nuclear facilities, labeling it a terrorist act against a vital project designed with utmost safety standards. Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, the UAE’s Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, asserted that their commitment to progress and clean energy for their citizens remains steadfast.
“The UAE will keep building. Our resolve only grows stronger,” he stated.
