Adam Schwarze, the Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate from Minnesota, is currently facing significant criticism. A report has surfaced claiming that his official X account followed a transgender adult film account, which stands in contrast to his public stance against transgender policies.
Details emerged on Tuesday indicating that Schwarze’s verified X profile followed the account “Shef****” as recently as April 14. At that moment, he was reportedly following only 51 accounts, highlighting the significance of this particular follow.
Screenshots indicated the account was visible among Schwarze’s follows before mysteriously disappearing. His following count subsequently dropped from 51 to 50.
This revelation quickly sparked allegations of hypocrisy. Schwarze has prominently featured opposition to transgender ideology as a key component of his campaign.
On April 6, he declared on X, “Boys belong in boys sports and girls belong in girls.” He emphasized that women and girls deserve protection from what he views as male encroachment in women’s sports, vowing to safeguard their rights as a U.S. Senator.
Previously, Schwarze described transgender activism as part of a wider “mental health crisis.”
In a February post, he attributed tragic incidents to “radicalized trans persons,” asserting that the nation faces a serious mental health issue. He positioned himself as a candidate who understands the importance of basic biological definitions.
Moreover, Schwarze criticized what he termed as “woke nonsense” regarding mental health treatment, asserting that the impact of radical gender ideology has gone too far.
His campaign website prominently features a stance against allowing men to compete in women’s sports. Despite the unfolding situation, Schwarze had not issued a public comment on the allegations as of Wednesday morning. The contentious account had also vanished from his profile’s following list according to reports.
