Charges Filed Against Two for Assaulting Conservative Journalist

Federal authorities have indicted two individuals in connection with the assault on Turning Point USA reporter Savanah Hernandez, which occurred during a tumultuous anti-ICE protest in Minneapolis earlier this month.

The indictments were issued on Tuesday but have yet to be made public. The names of the accused are expected to be released soon.

The protest took place on April 11 outside the Whipple Federal Building, where activists gathered to rally against a local U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office that also serves as a detention facility.

Video footage reveals Hernandez being encircled by protestors as tensions heightened. Horns blared inches from her face, obscenities were shouted, and individuals brandished provocative items while she attempted to shield herself.

In a moment caught on camera, Hernandez tells one protester, “Get away from me,” but the individual persists in encroaching on her space. Shortly after, she is shoved and falls against a wired fence.
