Tim Tebow is in mourning following the passing of his father, Bob Tebow. This announcement came on social media on April 24.
At 78, Bob had been living with Parkinson’s disease since 2016 and was recently wheelchair-bound, as mentioned in Tim’s heartfelt post.
“Heaven ushered in a hero last night as my Dad was welcomed home,” Tebow shared. “Many will say sorry for your loss, but the truth is he’s not lost; we know exactly where he is. He’s home. Forever.”

Bob and his wife, Pam, began their journey together after meeting at the University of Florida and marrying in 1971. In 1985, following what they believed was a divine calling, they relocated with their family to Mindanao, Philippines, to spread the Gospel.
Tim was born in the Philippines in 1987 and has often reflected on the impact of his family’s faith and mission work.
The family later returned to Jacksonville, where they opted for homeschooling their children.
Tim proved to be a remarkable quarterback at Nease High School in Ponte Vedra Beach before joining Florida, where he played a key role in securing national titles in 2006 and 2008 and received the Heisman Trophy.
